In the not-too-distant past, Beer Sheva only had a few daily minyanim at set hours for only short periods during the day. The city of our Forefathers has undergone a revolution in this aspect. The main synagogue ‘Tefillat Avot’ has become a beacon for all mispallelim. Minyanim take place there one after the another, at almost all hours of the day, which are attended by hundreds of Beer Sheva’s residents and others from surrounding areas, who have established their regular place of prayer in this setting. From day to day the number of those coming to daven here increases, until the premises have become too small to accommodate the many and even the ezras nashim has been taken over by minyanim of men, leaving the women with no place to daven.
