The days of bein hazmanim are fondly remembered by graduates of the yeshivah, and eagerly awaited by its current talmidim. In the Tefillat Avot synagogue, the main synagogue of the town, the bochurim gather for these few weeks, preparing for and anticipating the beginning of the new zman with a renewed enthusiasm for learning Toras HaShem. The bochurim return home after a full zman of exertion in taharah. During the weeks before the new zman commences, the benches in the synagogue are packed with bochurim seeking only to learn more and more, their chief delight.
Many times the bochurim remain awake for entire nights, shteiging in the holy Torah for the benefit of the Jewish people. This is one of the practices stressed by Rav Batzri in his shiurim in the yeshivah and he encourages the talmidim to aim for ever higher levels of hasmadah.
